Abstract

We propose a single end accessible Brillouin optical correlation domain analysis system incorporating time domain data processing, where the multiple sensing positions can be simultaneously interrogated to enhance the measurement range. In experiment, distributed sensing of strain is performed in the 1.51 km-range with a spatial resolution of better than 2.5 cm for demonstration of the proposed scheme.
