Linearization and pulse-coding of phase-sensitive OTDR for distributed acoustic sensing

Abstract

The concept of linearization and pulse-coding for Φ-OTDR with heterodyne detection are proposed and experimentally verified for the first time. Distributed acoustic sensing with sub-meter spatial resolution and nano-strain resolution is realized over 10km.
