Abstract

We demonstrate sapphire-derived fiber spliced with single mode fiber. An air microcavity is formed by fusion splicing and developed for Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI). Such FPI shows temperature sensitivity of 136.84 pm/°C over 960°C~1100°C.
