Strain and temperature detection through PFBG and resin based FP cavities

Abstract

This work reports the use of a polymer fiber Bragg grating combined with a resin based Fabry Perot cavity, created by cold splicing between polymer and glass fibers, for the simultaneous detection of strain and temperature.
