Elliptical Measurement of Current Sensing Based on Helical Long Period Grating Written in Polarization- Maintaining Fiber

Abstract

We report the measurement of the Faraday effect of helical long period grating written in polarization-maintaining fiber. The elliptical polarized light was used to measure Faraday rotation angle, which shows a higher sensitivity to current.
