Adaptive Gauge Length Method to Avoid Fading Effect for Phase-sensitive OTDR

Abstract

An adaptive gauge length method is proposed to effectively eliminate fading effect in phase-sensitive OTDR without complex system configuration. This method enables us to design phase-sensitive OTDR affected by fading only once every 100 years.
