Single-shot Coherent Optical Time Domain Reflectometry with pε/√Hz Strain Sensitivity

Abstract

In this paper, a novel sub-chirped-pulse extraction algorithm is proposed to replace the time-consuming sweeping process in COTDR and realize single-shot measurement. On a 134m fiber, pε/√Hz strain sensitivity is achieved with 2 m spatial resolution.
