Numerical Studies of Tailored-Probe Slope Assisted BOTDA

Abstract

Accurate simulations of Tailored-Probe slope-assisted BOTDA may require the use of a higher-order equation for the acoustic field, especially for large variations of the fiber BFS. Successful application of this approach to various scenarios is demonstrated.
