Monitoring of an high temperature superconductor magnet by means of OFDR

Abstract

The cool-down and powering of a high temperature superconductor mag- net have been monitored by means of optical frequency domain reflectometry. The optical fibers have been integrated in the structure to sense thermal perturbations and deformations.
