Improved X-ray detection efficiency of YAG derived fiber with cerium and terbium co-doping

Abstract

A cerium and terbium co-doped YAG derived fiber is fabricated using the CO2 laser heated method. The scintillation efficiency of the obtained fiber is appropriately 3.0 times larger than that of terbium-doped YAG derived fiber.
