Pressure transducing plane cable structure for fully distributed sound measurements

Abstract

By interrogating an optical fiber cable designed for pressure sensing using a Rayleigh- based system, able of very sensitive strain measurements, we demonstrate and benchmark distributed sound acquisition in optical fibers.
