Optical Fiber Ring Resonator Ethanol Vapor Sensor

Abstract

A ring resonator device developed onto an optical fiber taper, using multi-photon laser lithography, while operating as ethanol vapor sensor is presented. This sensor readily measures ethanol vapor concentrations of 0.5ppm, with Q-factor of 1.9x103.
