High Magnetic Field Effect on Magneto-optical Properties of the Terbium-doped Silica Fiber

Abstract

A terbium doped silica fiber is fabricated by MCVD, and treated by high magnetic field. Compare to the untreated fiber, the Verdet constant of the treated fiber is increased by 29%.
