Quasi-distributed fiber-optic acoustic sensing system based on low coherence optical frequency domain reflectometry

Abstract

We demonstrate a quasi-distributed acoustic sensing system with low coherence optical frequency domain reflectometry and weak reflectors array. With broadband light source and simple structure, strain resolution of  0.05nεHz at 1 kHz with 20 m interval is achieved.
