Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis with Phase-Modulated Probe and Time-of-Flight Servo Loop

Abstract

We propose a BOTDA scheme with phase-modulated probe light and time-of- flight servo loop. For a 25-km fiber under test, a resolution of ±0.3MHz and a measurement range of 75 MHz and 0.25 seconds per measurement are achieved.
