Abstract

Traffic vibration monitoring based on distributed acoustic sensing (DAS), is an attractive candidate for using optical cables deployed for FTTH services to obtain valuable data, but the installation condition and location of optical cables vary which may affect measurement sensitivity. Our field trial clarifies the dependence of DAS-based traffic vibration measurement on their installation and location condition.
