Abstract

The strain and temperature dependence coefficients of the Brillouin frequency shift in a ZBLAN (ZrF4-BaF2-LaF3-AlF3-NaF) fiber are -90.9 MHz/% and -1.6 MHz/K, respectively, which are approximately -0.16 and -1.3 times the values in silica fibers.
