Abstract

A typical diamond wheel marking shows these variables: The six variables that make up a diamond wheel all have an affect on the grinding operation. Each must be carefully chosen in order to achieve the optimum (1) rate of stock removal, (2) surface finish, (3) edge chipping, (4) wheel life and (5) cost of grinding.
