An Automated Hartmann Test Using Rotating Diffraction Gratings

Not Accessible

Abstract

A system is designed and constructed for performing an automated Hartmann test with much greater speed and flexibility than the classical configuration. A rotating grating scanner eliminates the need for the screen, allowing mirrors with different f-numbers to be tested in the same setup. Measurements from the system compare favorably with data obtained by interferometric tests.
