Development of statistical tolerancing system for optical products - Virtual PT system and Mass-Product Simulation -

Abstract

Tolerance is very important parameter for all products to be keep stable the product performance with low manufacturing cost. However in optical products, it is very difficult to predict the productivity , optical performance and complex sensitivity of tolerance on mass-production. To solve the above problems and increase efficiency of manufacturing time and cost, This study develop the statistical tolerancing system and enable the quantitative analysis of optical performance with productivity before manufacturing. In this paper, We propose a concept of Virtual PT System(PT: Production Try) for optical products such as SLR Lenses. And we report a development of Mass-Product simulation system based on Monte-Carlo method according to the proposed concept. Furthermore, we report reliability of it’s simulation result.
