Abstract

It is hard to find any optical system without Optical filters and coatings, of being able to alter the spectral distribution of an incident light so that this discussion will mainly focus on components after coating. Based on the altered spectral response, filters and coatings are classified as narrow and wide bandpass filter, longpass and lowpass filter, high reflection coating, gain flattening filter, tunable filter notch filter and anti-reflection coating etc.
