Bragg Fiber with a Photonic Crystal Like Core

Abstract

In this work, we discuss Bragg Fibers whose core has been filed up by a structure of nanospheres whose assembly resembles a finite Opal Like Photonic crystal. Among the most desirable Holey Fiber structures, we have chosen for our numerical analysis an annular type without core because of its simplicity in the simulation. The numerical solutions are discussed, as well as the experimental feasibility of developing such kind of fibers.
