Abstract

We present a pseudo-random tool path generation algorithm for sub-aperture polishing. This algorithm produces random tool paths that never cross, can fill any continuous surface, and are different every time the algorithm is run. We present experimental comparison of the random tool-path compared with the exactly equivalent raster in terms of both texture and PSD.
