Abstract

A design as well as measurements of glass diffractive optical beam shaper is shown. The beam shaper generates a ‘flat hat’ light distribution out of a Gaussian laser beam. Simulation and measurement are in good agreement. In addition the design of a micro-optical LED collimation lens is presented including the manufacturing as lens array. The steep asphere together with the high refractive index glass (SCHOTT’s P-LaSF47) ensures a good LED light collimation and can be used for the whole visible light spectrum.
