Abstract

Within this paper, the current results of a laser based process chain for optics manufacturing are presented. This process chain is currently under development and focuses on the fabrication of highly individualized, non-spherical optics, since conventional manufacturing methods tend to be comparatively slow and expensive in this field. Featuring a modular design with three single steps, it is highly flexible with a high degree of freedom concerning the optics surface form. First manufactured demonstration parts show the potential of the process chain, regarding both individualization possibilities as well as short processing time.
