Ultrastable Bonding of Glass with Femtosecond Laser Pulses

Abstract

Ultrashort laser pulses at high repetition rates can be used to induce stable bonds between transparent materials. Using optimized processing parameters, we achieved a breaking strength up to 95% of the pristine bulk material.
