On the Use of ISO 10110-8 for Specification of Optical Surfaces with Mid-Spatial Frequency Errors

Abstract

The ISO 10110 standard describes preparation of drawings for optical components, with Part 8 specifying surface texture requirements. We present examples showing ISO 10110-8 is insufficient for specifying components with residual mid-spatial frequency surface errors.
