Figure Correction of Glass Mirrors Using Ultrafast Lasers to Generate Controllable Stress

Not Accessible

Abstract

We use an ultrafast laser to correct figure errors in float glass mirrors by generating stress within the substrates, causing bending. We show 5-15× height reduction in one cycle, and high equivalent material removal rate.
