Abstract

A large thin film design and interpretation program, originally implemented on a large mainframe computer (IBM 3081), has been moved in its entirety to an IBM personal computer (IBMPC). This program, parts of which were discussed at the last Topical Meeting on Optical Interference Filters (1), includes features such as optimization with two different algorithms, statistical variation, electric field strengths, phase difference optimization, Herpin indices, monitoring, coating tank simulation and colorimetry.
