Abstract

As a part of our ongoing program for the production and testing of multilayer coated soft x-ray optics, we have performed a series of experiments designed to produce useable large area mirrors. In particular, our immediate efforts have been driven by the goal of producing a 25cm diameter Ritchey- Chretien telescope for use in imaging of the Solar corona. However, it is clear that large area mirrors are desireable in other fields and the techniques which we discuss are useful whenever such coated, figured surfaces are needed.
