Abstract

Manufacturing of inhomogeneous thin films by co-deposition of two or more materials has been known for a long time[1–3] as a promising method, however some problem with control and reproducibility of optical properties of composites and their characterization have delayed the development of a standard technique for manufacturing this kind of filters. In this work we examine the behavior of thermal sources and the control of their emission by using rotating masks of variable aperture.
