Space optics sensor requirements: past & future missions

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The performance of space-based remote sensing scientific instrumentation is limited by the performance of optical thin films to select wavelength, control unwanted radiation and perform thermal balance roles within the instrument. Past missions and future missions are presented, and optical thin film performance is discussed.
