Abstract

It is apparent from the intensity reflection coefficient for p-polarized light of an ambient-film-substrate system R(θ)=r01(θ)+r12(θ)eiδ1+r01(θ)r12(θ)eiδ2, where r01 and r12 are ambient-film and film-substrate Fresnel coefficients, δ=4πdλn12sin2θ, d and n1 are the thickness and refractive index of the film, λ is the free-space-wavelength, θ is the angle of incidence, that one can obtain a sample with two Brewster angles (R(θ1) = R(θ2) = 0), if for given n2 satisfy the equations
