Abstract

1. Inhomogeneous films have been the subject of detailed study for many years.1,2 Multilayers consisting of slightly inhomogeneous layers may be considered as a particular case of inhomogeneous films. This class is of special practical interest because layers of many optical coatings are slightly inhomogeneous.
