Abstract

We have realized metal-dielectric soft coatings whose spectra match broadband, continuous, application-driven, spectral performance curves. We chose a soft coating technology because it’s relatively low batch cost allowed multiple deposition cycles. The multiple deposition cycles proved critical to success in that they allowed us to optimize the designs for unexpected process-dependant deposition material anomalies.
