Surface wave excitation at 1D photonic crystal-metal interface

Abstract

A surface wave at the 1D photonic crystal-metal interface is observed experimentally. Spectral reflection and transmission measurements of the incident light on a system formed by a finite 1DPC and a metal film are reported.
