Abstract

Dispersive-mirror-based laser permits a dramatic simplification of high-power systems and affords promise for their advancement to shorter pulse durations, higher peak powers, and higher average powers with user-friendly systems. We have successfully used dispersive mirrors for compressing pulses to a duration of 3.5 fs.
