Optical and Structural Properties of Amorphous Silicon Coatings deposited by Magnetron Sputtering

Abstract

We report on the preparation and characterization of Si-coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering. The high packing density, amorphous structure and low optical absorption of the coatings demonstrates the high potential of this technology for IR-applications.
