Minimizing Thermal Emission in the Atmospheric Windows

Abstract

Thermal emission in the atmospheric windows represent a possibility for radiative exchange with the low temperatures in outer space. We investigate the opportunities for minimizing this by coating BeO with dielectric film of suitable thickness.
