Use of Gold Island Films in Design of Reflectors with High Luminosity

Abstract

We describe the optical properties of gold island films embedded between SiO2 and TiO2 layers. Plasmonic properties of gold films have been characterized for various combinations of embedded media and used in design of multilayer reflectors.
