Single Amyloid Fibrils Studied in a Thermophoretic Trap

Abstract

The aggregation of proteins into amyloid fibrils is fundamental for the understanding of neurodegenerative disorders. Here, we demonstrate a method for the investigation of growth and breakup of single Aβ40 amyloid fibrils in a thermophoretic trap.
