Effect of Flow on Endothelial 3D Shear Stress Profile and Cooperative Behavior

Abstract

Using confocal microscopy and particle image velocimetry, we investigate the forces that laminar flows exert locally on endothelial cells, and the cooperative behavior the cells display in shielding each other from the flow.
