Dependance of variance in estimation of hemoglobin concentration changes on system noise and two wavelengths chosen

Abstract

Dependance of variance in calculated changes of hemoglobin concentrations was investigated using theoretical error propagation. Larger signal-to-noise ratios lead to smaller variance while selection of two wavelengths affects the variance as well.
