Abstract

Guided mode resonance (GMR) based magnetic field sensor with normal incidence system was experimentally demonstrated using Ni nano-grating/waveguide structure. Ni nano-grating was fabricated on the waveguide structure using electron beam lithography techniques. The intensity of GMR reflection peak varied with applying magnetic field of mT order.
