Single Element 2-D Bragg Cells for Optical Computing

Abstract

A single element 2-D Bragg cell can be used in the following subsystems: 1. Vector-vector multiplications. 2. Words equality detection. 3. Half adder optical system. 4. Global interconnection capabilities. The Brimrose 2-D device can be applied to the multiplication of two binary-digit vectors.
