Packaged optical interconnection system based on photorefractive correlation

Abstract

An opto-electronic multiprocessor system consisting of a large number of electronic processing elements with optical inputs and outputs is promising for future parallel processing because this architecture removes the limitations of the VLSI technology by providing the interconnects in three dimensions.
