Abstract
The 2-photon absorption based three dimensional memory1 is an optical storage device where the bits of information are stored throughout the volume of a material. The use of optical beams for write/read operations allows the data to be densely packed inside the material, hence increasing the memory density. The third dimension allows the information to be accessed in parallel providing a high data transfer rate.
