Coherent Lidar Measurements of Backscatter and Transmission Loss Profiles

Abstract

A coherent 10.6 micron pulsed Doppler lidar has been operated at the Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Alabama in a ground-based mode. During the period April 1983 - February 1984 measurements of tropospheric backscatter and transmission loss were made on approximately 30 days of operation.
