Abstract

Tridimensional spectroscopy is developing rapidly in astronomy with various techniques implying fiber bundles, lenslets arrays or image slicing. An imaging FTS is a much simpler solution with a unique possibility of high spectral resolution. The coupling of the step-scan FTS of the CFH Telescope to a HgCdTe array (1-2.5 /jm) has been realized to exploit the concept. Among various astronomical targets, the gas and dust environment of a selection of massive young stellar objects has been studied.
