Abstract

Lockheed (LMSC) is developing a total space system that will make advances on the current Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) capability. This proposed end-to-end system considers the interfaces and interaction between the system requirements and the technology selection process. This paper will briefly discuss some of the system considerations that helped to form the design of the LMSC sensor suite.
